So after hiding behind photos of cake and words about cake for as long as possible, I have finally been convinced to introduce myself.
Hi, I'm Amy!
I grew up in Ripponden, a small village in West Yorkshire and I now live in Guiseley, Leeds (I can't image a time that I won't live in Yorkshire - I think it's the most beautiful place to live!).
I have been baking for around 9 years but mainly for friends and family until November 2017 when I decided to start Slice of Yorkshire. Since then the business has become my life and I absolutely love it. I have a massive sweet tooth and have finally decided share my love for baking and take the business on full-time (which is so exciting and terrifying at the same time).
I have a slight confession that I am a bit of a hypocrite as my whole life has revolved around sport and I have now switched from encouraging people to get involved in physical activity, to encouraging them to eat more cake - shame on me!
However, I believe that life is all about having a balance; the more exercise I do, the more cake I can eat.
As far as this introduction goes, I don't think I have much else to say for myself. I am going to try and start writing more blogs about the journey of starting my own baking business so please feel free to leave comments and let me know your thoughts - wish me luck.
