On Saturday evening we took a trip to Sowerby Bridge and had dinner at Engine Social Dining after hearing really good things.
We went for a drink at the Hogs Head first which is just round the corner from Engine and is a personal favourite of mine. As it was a Saturday evening it was really busy but there is always a good atmosphere and you always see people you know - http://hogsheadbrewhouse.co.uk/
As soon as we arrived at Engine the staff were all lovely and welcoming which continued throughout the meal. The menu was so inviting and appeared to cater for everyone (including a vegan section) with such a variety of choices. We ordered a selection of snacks to start with and then moved on to mains. I would highly recommend the surf and turf and the sweet potato wedges - they were amazing but all the dishes that we tried were delicious.
For dessert I shared the chocolate brownie which was so good! I'm a huge brownie fan and the one at Engine was really tasty - as you can tell...
The whole evening was delightful and we were pleasantly surprised when the bill came which is always a bonus. My favourite thing about the meal (minus the delicious food) was that there is an open kitchen so you can see the food being prepared and served which adds so much to the experience.
